Thumbnail Images

Thumbnails are the first images a customer sees on Adobe Stock. They should be a creative way to showcase your design.

Thumbnail Image Requirements

  • Must be named: Thumbnail.jpg
  • Colorspace: RGB
  • Width: 2048 px
  • Height: 1424 px
  • Resolution: minimum of 72 ppi

Useful Thumbnail Image Tips

  • Use background colors and shapes that will complement your template design
  • Experiment with different ways of cropping or laying out your work to highlight interesting focal points in your template
  • Remember that these images are a visual representation of your template for sale
  • Do not use "sales" or "marketing" text - these will reduce our ability to market your work in curated campaigns
  • Do not use images that contain IP violations (such as: real company logos, names, and products)
  • Do not use images that are cluttered or unreadable/blurry - these may devalue your template and make it less desirable for customers and marketability

Display Photos

If you include any display photos, they should match the style of the template design. You may only use display photos from either of these sources:

  • Licensed from Adobe Stock - the standard license (includes assets from the Free Collection) allows you to use photos for display only
  • Created by you - images that you created/own (and can provide model and property releases if applicable)

Do not embed images in your template if they are licensed from Adobe Stock - the standard license will only allow you to use them as display photos in your thumbnail and preview files.

Preview Images

Preview images are shown when a customer clicks on the thumbnails for more details. They should be a representation of what are included within the templates.

Preview Image Requirements

  • Must be named: Preview1.jpg
  • Colorspace: RGB
  • Width: 2048 px
  • Height: 1536 - 6144 px
  • Resolution: minimum of 72 ppi

Useful Preview Image Tips

  • Show the depth and usefulness of your template - present either a variety of views or more details than your thumbnail image displays
  • Use this as an opportunity to visually show the different pages, screens, or options included in your template
