2019 Big Ten Volleyball Foreign Tour Japan

12 Big Ten volleyball students were selected to join the 2019 foreign tour roster. The team will be traveling to Japan from June 14th to 26th to play against local teams and experience Japanese culture.

The 2019 Big Ten Volleyball Foreign Tour departs from Chicago on Friday, June 14th and arrives at its first spot: Osaka.

Before arriving in Japan, Brie Orr of Iowa Volleyball previews what she's most excited for during the 2019 Big Ten Volleyball Foreign Tour.

First Stop: Osaka

Nia Robinson of Northwestern Volleyball gives an update on the tour from Osaka.

The tour kicked off in Osaka, including a visit to the Osaka Castle and a match against Senri Kinran.

Jenna Hampton of Penn State Volleyball gives a post-game interview following the team's first match against Senri Kinran.

Stop Two: Kyoto

The tour rolls on to Kyoto, featuring a match and post-game dinner with Ryukoku University students and a visit to the Yasaka Shrine.

Stop Three: Nishio

Before leaving Kyoto for Nishio, Tali Marmen of Rutgers Volleyball talks about culture and playing volleyball in Japan.

The team stopped in Nishio for a match against the Denso Airybees, resulting in a B1G victory.

Stop 4: Tokyo

Catch up with Natalie Smith of Michigan Volleyball as the team arrives in Tokyo.

The tour arrives in Tokyo to visit the Meiji Shrine and enjoy local cuisine.
