Progression of a Painting Jaxs

I've always had a love of arts, be it music or otherwise. I stopped painting about five years ago, but I saw a beautiful picture that inspired me to put brush to canvas once again and let the creative juices flow. I want to share the Progression of a Painting with you.

I remember taking a vacation with my parents through the Adirondack region of New York State one Fall, and I'll never forget the striking palette of colors i saw that day.

The greenest greens, ruby reds, peach, golds, even purples and blues - my eyes went absolutely crazy and I fell in love with the colors of Fall.

My sister wanted me to create a painting based on the photo below....I was immediately dazed and amazed by the carpet of red, and thought I'd take on the challenge.

I took a shot at it, and I was NOT amused! Just take a look at my first attempt below...with a straight face if you can manage. 😐

Needless to say, it was a challenge, however, I refused to be beaten. This little experiment taught me a valuable lesson. Inspiration is more important than exacting a re-creation.

Inspiration is key to Creation.

I created this painting based on the dominant color and feel inspired by the photo.

With joy in my heart and an inspired mind, I created this painting for my sister!

Love ya sis - this one is for you! ❤️
