2019 Sophomore EC Scholar Trip to Washington, D.C.

During their sophomore year, EC Scholars travel to Washington, D.C. for their second impact trip during ECU's fall break.

While in DC, Scholars tour the Pentagon, visit museums and Arlington National Cemetery and explore the city with their cohort. This trip offers Scholars the chance to make lasting social change in the local, regional and global community as well as continue to create bonds with their Scholar cohort.

Scholars gave back to the community by volunteering at the DC Central Kitchen.

Connecting with ECU alumni is an integral part of Scholar impact trips. This year, Scholars were able to visit the JPMorgan Chase & Co. Institute, thanks to ECU alumnus Tremayne Smith. They also toured the Pentagon with EC Scholar alumnus Chris Thaxton.
