My project is about the resilience of students during the Covid-19 pandemic and how that affected all of us. Being at a new school during the pandemic brings many different things. We have to distance ourselves from each other, take Covid tests each week, and wear masks. Many things aren't the same, like dances, sports games, school events, even school lunch! It's hard to be at a new school, let alone in the middle of this pandemic - it is definitely an experience I won't forget. In the future, I hope that I can hang out with friends without having to worry if any of us have Covid, have more school events not get canceled, and have school plays in the auditorium, and not outside. I hope that we can try to get back to some kind of normal, even though everyone has been affected by this pandemic.
Throughout this process, it was challenging to find photos to properly convey my topic. Taking photos at school was a new experience - fun and scary - and I got to look at things from a new perspective, whether it be about my opinion about school or something else. It was fun to have people come up to me and ask me to take their photo, to ask if I'm in the photography club, and to engage with people from different grades or classes. With photography, I like how we can picture something in our minds, and use the outside world and the camera to create it. The possibilities are endless with photography, and I love using my camera to explore it.
