Video of the Month: A Study on Praise and Mindsets
How are you intentionally praising your kid based on their effort vs their performance? Our words are powerful and we have to be mindful not to make our kids think they are just smart, but instead that they can do hard things and accomplish them BECAUSE of their hard work! Try to change your language and see what happens!
Article of the Month: How to Praise Your Kids
State of the School: Academic and Discipline Data Update:
Discipline Referral Update:
- 2017-2018 School Year: 194referrals to date (some were repetitive as in same kid but multiple offenses)
- 2018-2019 School Year: 127 referrals to date (some are repetitive as in same kid with multiple offenses) Referrals are down by 35% in one year! This is great news!
Academic Data Update: As of March's benchmarks
The data below lets you know how we did in each subject on STAAR last year for 3rd-6th grade and then how we did on our Benchmarks in March. We don't take STAAR for most grades until May so we are confident our kiddos are going to do AMAZING! Well, because they ARE AMAZING ALREADY!

See the image below about APPS that you might need to know more information on before your child can access them or download them!
It is that season of school where parents and guardians begin to request teachers for their kiddos for the next school year. While in theory you may have heard great things about a teacher, it is the connection the kid and teacher has that matters the most. With that being said, the way that I will take requests this year is by you telling me your child's personality type and style of learning that fits them best. From there, I will connect him or her with the perfect fit homeroom teacher. You may fill out your child's profile for their just right teacher match in the link below:
