Celebrating 150 Years of Sorority and Fraternity Life at Emory GIVE TO THE BILL FOX GRANT

For 150 years, sororities and fraternities have fostered uniquely supportive communities and lifelong friendships that are critical to the academic, personal, and career development of member students at Emory.

For many Emory students who are unable to pay chapter dues and fees, membership is out of reach.

Bill Fox 79G, our former dean of campus life, was wholly devoted to the people of Emory University. He cared deeply about ensuring that all students, regardless of economic means, were given the opportunity to find their home here.

Gifts made to the Greek Life 150 Fund will make that possible by supporting the Bill Fox Grant which covers membership and recruitment fees for students with demonstrated financial need for all four years of active membership.

“It is an honor to be part of an organization that members of my family and other great women have been a part of. I look forward to having the opportunity to carry on the legacy that they have set before me.”

Jasmine Walker 20C // Alpha Kappa Alpha

“Through my fraternity, I was able to meet people and develop friendships that opened doors to new clubs and organizations. My fraternity brothers introduced me to the Student Alumni Board, Inter Fraternity Council, tour guiding, and so much more. Being in a fraternity expanded my network on campus and has made school so much more fun.”

Jake Gruber 19B // Alpha Tau Omega

Emory’s sororities and fraternities share a long history of service and philanthropy, including campus leadership, volunteerism, and fundraising to support causes on campus and around the world.

Mentors, chapter leaders, and fellow actives encourage academic excellence and help members cultivate qualities that lead to success at Emory and beyond.

When you make a gift to the Greek Life 150 Fund, you’re extending the life-changing experience of sorority or fraternity membership to students who will continue the legacy of community, scholarship, and service for generations to come.
