How to Decorate Your Room for Under $20 Aasha Sendhil, Watchtower Editor-in-chief

In-depth instruction to Ava Michelle's TikTok tutorial

Step 1: Choose Your Favorite Songs from Spotify

  • In the Spotify app, search your favorite songs one by one.
  • Click on the ellipse to the right of the song and take a screenshot.
  • To easily organize your screenshots, make a new photo album in your Photos app to store them.

Step 2: Download Shutterfly App & Upload Codes

  • After downloading the Shutterfly app, tap the "Upload" icon on the bottom of the screen.
  • Select the photo album with all of your Spotify code screenshots.
  • In the top right corner, click the "Upload" button and add all selected images to a new album within the app.

Step 3: Crop & Order Screenshots

  • Tap on the new album that you've created in the Shutterfly App.
  • Select the 4 x 6 size for the cheapest price.
  • Click on each photo and crop to fit the album cover, Spotify code, song title and artist.
  • Click the "Add to Cart" button when you've cropped all screenshots.
  • Purchase your order! Prices will vary based upon the number of images you wish to purchase. Shutterfly allows a maximum of 250 photos to be purchased in each order.

Step 4: Design Your Codes

  • Before pasting the Spotify codes to your wall, organize the order in which you want your codes to appear on your wall. (Ex: color, genre, artist, alphabetical)
  • Space each code between 0.5 inches to one inch apart.
  • Place the codes on your wall with painter’s tape.

Step 5: Try It Out!

  • In the Spotify app’s Search section, click on the search bar, then tap the camera icon in the top right corner.
  • Place your phone in front of one of your Spotify codes and enjoy your favorite music!
