Dusty Camp III is coming Thursday and Friday, July 22-23. We wish all our New Dustdevils a hearty welcome to our campus and to Dustdevil nation!

- COVID-19 Vaccinations are available on campus every Wednesday and Thursday through our partnership with the National Guard. They are free of charge and open to all. Additional vaccination dates and more on free COVID-19 Testing is located here.
- Don’t forget…Applications for the next funding cycle for CRRSAA/ARP Grants for students enrolled during Sub-Term II, Summer Session II, and Summer Session III close tomorrow. Here’s more.

TAMIU College of Nursing and Health Sciences Receives Top Ranking for Affordability
As the Fall 2021 semester approaches, incoming and returning Dustdevils have another reason to be proud. TAMIU ranked #6 among the Top 100 Best Affordable Nursing College Programs in the nation by online source, University HQ.

TAMIU Welcomes Transfer Students this Fall with Scholarships, TAMIU Books Included
As students prepare for a vibrant, face to face, return to campus experience this Fall, transfer students are encouraged to register now and find their path at their hometown University. Additionally, Transfer students have the distinct opportunity to be considered for Transfer Student Merit Scholarships,
- Transfer students can also apply for Financial Aid and a list of additional scholarships listed here.
- Additionally, this Fall, TAMIU students seeking a degree will be the lucky beneficiaries of a pilot program, TAMIU Books IncludED, providing all TAMIU required textbooks and course materials free of charge.
New TAMIU, Webb County Agreement Paves Way for Speech-Language, Hearing and Literacy Development Services
Webb County Commissioners Court took action on Monday to enter into an agreement with the College of Nursing and Health Sciences Communication Sciences and Disorders program. In the agreement, students will provide services as part of their clinical learning experience under the direct supervision of clinical supervisors.
“Consistent with our mission, we are able to provide our students with remarkable learning, research and service opportunities of mutual benefit to those receiving the services. It’s a tremendous opportunity to expand the classroom to real-world dimensions with real-world implications. We are honored to partner with Judge Tijerina and our honorable County Commissioners Jesse González, Rosaura Tijerina, John Galo and Cindy Liendo in making this possible."

Survey Volunteers Sought for Ongoing, Global COVID-19 Research Study, TAMIU Prof Says
The COVIDiSTRESS Global Consortium has launched an extension to its study, dubbed: “Living A Year with the Pandemic.” While the initial research study resulted in one of the largest, open-access datasets on the psychological impact of COVID-19 Pandemic, researchers are now focusing on data collection aimed at understanding the Pandemic’s global psychological impact one year later.
“This survey is available in 48 languages on our website and nearly 8,000 people have participated already! Locally, it is our goal to collect responses from speakers of all languages in Laredo and the United States more broadly, to ensure that our region is represented in the global sample.”
