Taking a trip into space LZ decorates for homecoming 2019

With the homecoming dance just around the corner, the homecoming week festivities began with the year long tradition: decorating the hallways. Bear Facts flew in to give decorators some superlatives.

Most eye-catching:

This portion of the B Hallway was decorated by Drama Club, Tri-M, Speech and Acting, UNICEF, and International club

The most eye catching hallway this year was this Star Wars themed hallway for sure. All the clubs’ use of two different colors of paper for the lights created a colorful glow in the hallway. Additionally, the use of paper-made light sabers on the lockers tied everything together.

Most creative:

The German club took the space theme in a whole other direction, creating a Space Jam themed hallway. The use the lockers for the characters, and the creation of bleachers on the walls was a super cool touch.

Most Popular:

While incorporating a Travis Scott themed hallway, this club took home the most popular hallway superlative. The execution and design was very trendy, and the use of pop culture made it even more appealing.

Most Crafty:

The most crafty thing about this hallway was the handstuffed bear and sombrero. The stuffing gave the decorations some dimension and really popped compared to the surrounding decorations.

Bear Facts' Personal Favorite:

NHS’s hallway was very fun with the hanging stars and asteroids. They also created an astronaut Gandhi, which was very fun and cute. Utilizing the existing images on the walls to create their own designs was very clever.

"It is always so fun to have everyone come together and show our school spirit," Juliana Wantuch, NHS member said. "I personally liked making all the planets and [hanging] them up."
