Three Types of Roles
Enterprise User Permission
Enterprise User Permissions allow you to define the access each Target user has in a given sub domain or pages.
This is done by using “Property” and “Workspaces”
- Property : Establish boundaries around where Users can run Target Activities.
- Workspace : A common set of Properties, Activities and Offers , all accessible by a set of specific users.
You have a Multi-national organisation that has a webpage for each region. You have different Marketing teams for each region doing the optimization on each site. The APAC Marketing team can only perform optimization for the APAC pages , however they can also view the reports from the US sites.
You have a Multi-branded organisation that has a different website for each brand.
How does it work?
Let see that Step by Step
Workspace
Create Your Workspaces inside Admin Console
Admin Console > Products > Adobe Target > Product Profiles > New Profile
Assign users to the Workspace with the correct roles
Click into the newly created Workspace > Add User
Assign Properties to the Workspaces
- Click into the newly created Workspace > Permission Tab > Click "Edit" for the correct Channel
- Move the properties you want to include in this Workspace and then Save
Pointers
Properties and Workspace does not prevent a user from creating an activity that modify a page that they shouldn’t have access too. However when the Target server is requested to show offers, if it can not detect the correct Properties with the correct users then the activity will no run.
It is best to implement Enterprise User Permission before you start your Testing and Targeting.
You can copy Activities from a Workspace to another Workspace e.g. Default Workspace to APAC Workspace
PLESAE NOTE! Copying an Activity from one Workspace to another does not copy the historical data with it.
