Political: Helped us in the Civil War

The Telegraph is the most significant change in the 1800s because it made communication much easier.

The change happened in 1840

The reason this change happened was because the Pony Express was taking too long to deliver letters

At the time the continental rail road was being built.

The telegraph made communication much faster and easier for individuals. It made long distant communication faster and easier as well for the whole country.

The whole country was affected. Both sides were equally affected.

Affecting Westward Expansion: It made people aware of things like weather, updates, and send their news to other places.
