Boys Varsity Soccer Wins First-Ever Sectional Championship

With a 13-0-1 record for the season, Mamaroneck Boys Soccer won the pandemic equivalent of this year's sectional championship, the Sectional Regional Championship-Large Schools. The tournament was divided by geographic regions into tournament brackets. The boys, who worked hard and stayed focused all season, had outstanding senior leadership.

Congratulations to our Large School Sectional Champions!

Holiday Drive Kicks Off for MUFSD Families

The Mamaroneck School District Social Work Department is asking you to share the warmth this winter and join in its 2020 effort to provide gift cards and new hats, gloves, scarves and socks to our Larchmont & Mamaroneck families in need.

Health Reminder: Complete Daily Form Prior to Sending Your Child to School

Remember to fill out the daily COVID-19 health form for your child(ren) each day before sending them to school. The form can be found under the tools tab for parents on the district website.

BOE and Superintendent Urge Community Members to Join in Seeking State Support for Covid-19 Testing

Superintendent Dr. Robert Shaps says the District for the past couple months has been actively seeking to establish a partnership with a lab to provide Covid-19 testing to students, faculty and staff. Dr. Shaps, along with the Board of Education (in conjunction with the Westchester Putnam School Boards Association) is calling on NYS legislators to provide public school districts in designated hotspots/"micro-clusters" with logistical and financial support needed for COVID testing of students and staff. See how you, as a community member, can help! And keep an eye out early next week for a parent consent form for testing

District Equity Team Concludes Series of Virtual Forums Collecting Feedback on Multi-Year Equity Plan

The District Equity Team (DET), which is currently expanding its base and seeking new members, wrapped up a series of virtual town hall meetings this month to seek feedback on Mamaroneck School District's Multi-Year Equity Plan. The DET thanks all stakeholders (community members, parents, students, alumni, staff/faculty) for their participation and input and will be communicating as the Team continues its valuable work throughout this school year and beyond.

Hybrid Learning: What Does it Look Like?

Teachers across the district have become accustomed to teaching students physically in front of them, while simultaneously communicating with and instructing students learning virtually at home. Check out these hybrid classrooms at Hommocks Middle School.

High School Debate Team Kicking Season Off Strong

The Mamaroneck Debate Team, now in its 5th season, is off to a phenomenal start! Competing online in tournaments against teams from around the country, Mamaroneck High School debaters won a "national circuit" tournament hosted by a Washington, DC school, made it to the elimination rounds in several other national circuit tournaments, and won numerous individual speaker awards. Two teams already have received half the bids needed to qualify for the prestigious Tournament of Champions to be held in April.

A Glimpse of How Some of Our Elementary Students are Processing Emotions During this Time

Staff and faculty at all of our schools have been paying close attention to the emotional well-being of students. Listen to just a couple of of our elementary school students at Chatsworth Ave. School tell about their use of mindfulness and how classroom charters have been developed to support students.

Take Precautions and Be Safe This Thanksgiving

We wish all of our Mamaroneck School District families a safe and peaceful holiday! WATCH the video greeting below from our Music Department.
