The Bohemian Forest 24th-27th of august 2016

Jack was enjoying the refreshing water after a long way in the car.

Every day in the morning I woke up at 5 a.m. to do some birdwatching. It was accompanied by beautiful sunrises.

Sunrise at Knizeci Plane.

Spider's webs were beautiful especially during sunrise.

These pictures just looked perfect in black and white.

I specialise in wildlife photography, focusing on birds and avian species. Taking pictures in the Bohemian Forest was difficult, owing to the fact that the birds were shy and as a result, difficult to catch on camera.

Young red-baked shrike (Lanius collurio)
Young eurasian blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla)
Tree pippets (Anthus trivialis) were all around
Young white tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla)
Common buzzard (Buteo buteo)
Willow warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus)
Black woodpecker (Dryocopus martius)

There were only two rare species that I was able to photograph.

Northern wheatear (Oenanthe oenanthe) in a stunning habitat.

Ring ouzel (Turdus torquatus)

There was more to wildlife than just birds.

Leucanthemum sp.
Camberwell beauty (Nymphalis antiopa)
Common brimstone (Gonepteryx rhamni)

Thank you for going through this journey with me.
