In June and July, 2018 a cross-disciplinary group of young architects and designers worked together on a design challenge at the intersection of the urban and the ”un-urban”. The workshop was located in Træna, a small island community at the Arctic Circle in Northern-Norway. The design challenge was to find a new use, layout, design, and concept for old an old community house, ”Grendahuset”.
The project was displayed at Design & Architecture Norway (DOGA) and opened at the STAY HUMAN Conference, January 10, 2019. The day of the opening 400 visitors came. Træna was also presented on the conference stage. The exhibition was open during January 2019.
