- Slack: allows you to create multiple workspaces and break that workspace down into subgroups or “channels” for specific groups/needs (menu located on an accessible sidebar)
- LinkedIn: every button has a purpose, no unnecessary scrolling or functions & strategic placement (network & jobs most important so placed first)
- Venmo: 2 clicks PAY or REQUEST simplifies the process, and lays out all needed information
2. Reliable
- Amazon: Reviews allow you to check the accuracy/quality of products & there are always detailed product descriptions that ensure you have all the facts
- Notes app: Notes lets you utilize the app without wifi, an incredibly useful feature -the availability of Notes is what makes it successful
- Pinterest: the mobile version works just as well as the desktop version & there’s no disparities between the two -the images are high quality and good size
3. Usable
- Weather app: I don’t know something more usable than the weather app. There is no confusion as each bar shows the weather for that city for 24 hours. You can switch to Celsius or Fahrenheit as well and there are visuals to accompany the weather.
- Yelp: Suggested categories take the stress off of finding places or businesses & Yelp updates to stay current with what’s happening in the world
- Wells Fargo mobile app: Main accounts laid out for you on the home page & easy buttons/click once to get where you need
4. CONvenient
- Uber: Uber is frequently used and is international so it is widely available -app provides the rider with the control to pick different vehicles/rides to get them to their destination the quickest/ for cheaper
- Snapchat: easy way to send photos/videos to friends- becomes addictive (snapchatters want to keep up with snap streaks) - snapmap allows you to check friends locations
- DoorDash: saves time and effort of going out to get food & is a commonly used app among college students (and busy working professionals) - simple interface and provides various food categories to select from
5. enjoyable
- Tiktok: users are extremely invested in this platform and for some the app is implemented into their “daily routine” -simple swipe up to scroll lets you continue watching -celebrity/can go viral aspect lures in users
- Depop: selling and buying the easy way -a lot of trendy, hip sellers and influencers are on here (shop my closet incentive) -users find it easy to use so they keep selling (Depop ships the packages for you)
- VSCO: image-based platform that lets you share your captures and connect with others -tons of editing/filter options for your photos (much wider range than instagram)
6. SIGNIFICANT
- Costar: provides daily readings/thoughts/spiritual advice -can improve your mental health and awareness/understanding of yourself -popular among younger generation/astrology fans
- Canva: graphic design for beginners program -simplifies the process of designing/creation -provides templates/ideas -little to no obstacles
- Health app on Iphone: shows you your steps that you walked and other health data -beneficial for your overall well being and tracking how you’re doing physically
