What is Youtube Boxing?

Youtube boxing is a very popular category of boxing that mainly consists of youtubers that have beef with other youtubers or celebrities. Some of these fights have had celebs like 3 time dunk contest champion, Nate Robinson and his match Jake Paul.

Who started it?

Youtube boxing was officially started in 2018 by very popular youtuber Olajide Williams, or KSI. He had challenged another youtuber/musical artist, Joe Weller. At the time it was the most anticipated fight of the year. Although KSI took the win in the end, youtube boxing as a whole was far from over. KSI was to later on take on a match with Logan Paul.

Why Are So Many People Watching YT Boxing?

I think youtube boxing is becoming such a popular thing because people usually don't see the more violent side of some of their favorite youtubers. Depending on the type of content the youtuber provides, most viewers only see the positive and friendly side of the content creator. Youtubers are closely watched and forced to stay within a thin line of different guidelines to insure youtube maintains their good name. Boxing is a way to express their more violent feelings in a ring and settle grudges amongst other youtubers/celebrities.

Upcoming Mayweather vs Paul Fight

The long rumored fight between internet star Logan Paul and boxing champion Floyd Mayweather has finally been officially announced to take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on June 6th. Opinions for this fight are pretty much one sided when it comes to who people think are going to win. Many people are even saying that its a waste of money. One fight is an undefeated 50-0 boxing champion, and the other being a Youtuber with a record of 0-1.
