everything in our power
When challenges like the recent pandemic are upon us, we often question what is really in our power to control. However, when we band together as a cooperative family, we usually find that there is more within our power than we once thought.
For the eighth consecutive year, Central Georgia EMC (CGEMC) ranked among the three lowest-cost electric providers in all of Georgia. We work hard to provide reliable service and to keep energy costs affordable for our members. But we believe we have the power to be much more than a provider of affordable, reliable electricity.
We are excited to announce that we now have the power to meet your natural gas needs! Fuel Georgia, a subsidiary of Central Georgia EMC, was recently formed to bring you the CGEMC service model in natural gas form. The added benefit for CGEMC members is that Fuel Georgia will absorb some of our operating expenses, saving you money on electric service.
But what about broadband? We recognize the challenges that many of our consumers face because of the lack of affordable high-speed internet access. That’s why we are doing everything in our power to partner with a broadband provider who will bring a long-term internet solution to our customer-owners, without risking the financial well-being of your cooperative.
For the past 83 years, we have had our members' interests at heart and will continue our legacy of doing everything in our power to serve you best, despite any challenges along the way.
at cgemc, you are a member, not a meter
We are committed to the highest level of customer service, including focusing on energy conservation and lower bills. Our Energy Services Team examines patterns of energy use to identify potential issues that could lead to an unexpectedly high bill. The Energy Services Team is also available to address customers' energy concerns and conduct home energy audits.
We recently received this message from a customer-member:
Energy Representative J.C. Coleman and Energy Analyst Adam McDaniel were in my service area recently. I am on a fixed income, and when my bill spiked tremendously, I wanted to know why. When I approached them, they immediately acknowledged my presence and listened as I explained my dilemma. They accessed and explained my utility usage, and made suggestions as to why my bill may have peaked. Thank you, CGEMC, for having professional and patient employees who take the time to deliver excellent customer service."
Please give us a call at 770-775-7857 if you are interested in our energy services.
