Inspired by nature, designed and built with pedigree.

Aurora Borealis is a rare phenomenon and the first of a new line of yachts called the LE220 built by Dutch limited-edition specialists Amels. The 67.6-metre exterior was penned by distinguished designer Tim Heywood and features an interior by award-winning studio Winch Design. As an evolution of Amel’s LE212, Aurora Borealis benefits from a proven platform alongside new refinements such as an extension of the main deck and lower deck to include the beach club.

67.6m Motor Yacht built by Amels

Aurora Borealis is an impressive superyacht built in record time for an experienced owner wanting to enjoy extensive cruising time with his young family, while keeping the charter activity in mind. Each deck offers something different with a number of unique fixtures crafted especially for the yacht. Mechanically, Aurora Borealis is like a Swiss watch when underway — she is silent and very fast, and the engineering is solid. A lot has been packed into this boat without compromising on accessibility, allowing for easy and regular servicing of systems.

Lower Deck Beach Club

One of the main features on Aurora Borealis is its superior spa area, which includes an ice fountain and a steam room aft on the lower deck. A few steps away is a spacious beach club, the perfect setting for those looking to spend time in the sun.

The steam room is finished with Italian pietra dura mosaic artwork and a fibre-optic starlight ceiling.

Main Deck

The interior and exterior, particularly on the main deck, encourage you to engage with the surrounding ocean and undoubtedly rich coastline. Large windows throughout invite spectacular views and create the space to unwind in a world of luxury.

Bridge Deck

The command centre of Aurora Borealis is the bridge, which includes comfortable leather sofas. It is also home to two lavish VIP suites and a breathtaking sky lounge that extends aft to an al fresco dining experience via large sliding doors.

Sundeck

The sundeck is the ideal space to relax or to work out, with entertainment provided in the form of an outdoor cinema.

Enjoy the sun on loungers and sun beds during the day before relaxing in front of a concealed outdoor cinema.
The walk-around spa pool forward is surrounded by a large sun pad and is the perfect place to dry off.

After a hard workout, take a plunge.

Those wanting a cardio-focused session can enjoy the gym on the sundeck, which includes free-weights, ballet bar and Technogym equipment. This area is the ideal workout environment with large aft-facing glass doors that can be retracted to welcome fresh sea air.

Main Deck: Foyer & Salon

Materials such as bamboo and straw marquetry have been used on cabinets and ceiling lights within the main salon. The main foyer features the largest work of art on board — a cloud-cut and back-lit wall of honey onyx. Mounted behind the staircase and glass guest elevator, this impressive display extends from the lower deck through to the sundeck.

The 100-square-metre main salon features a number of beautiful, fully custom furniture pieces and includes a white self-playing Steinway piano, adding sophistication and musical entertainment.

Main Dining

Aft of the main salon is a dining area that can seat up to 14 guests. Detailing such as pre-historic petrified wood in the centre of the table add intrigue, while a pair of stunning curved, hand-made starburst straw-marquetry panels visually separate the dining area from the lounge.

Bridge Deck - Sky Lounge

The Sky Lounge is a calm and large open space. It is the perfect entertainment area with an impressive bar a few steps away from lavish sofas.

Custom made lighting designed by Winch Design offers elegance and is a nod to the Art Deco era.
Aft of the Sky Lounge is a bespoke games table with almond gold inlay detailing.
A circular pattern appears within the floor of the companionways on each deck, and include inlays such as almond gold and mother-of-pearl.

Main Deck — Owner’s Suite

Wake up in the owner’s full width suite and enjoy the soft cushioned silk carpet underfoot before strolling into a private en suite. In the centre of this space is a solid crema liria stone bath with a petrified wood panel behind and high-gloss capiz shell panel in front.

Concealed behind one of the four petrified wood panels is a secondary (emergency) exit.
The owner’s suite has been finished with custom furnishings that enhance the feeling of warmth and comfort of the space.
The owner’s office features a captivating star chart, showing the night sky as viewed from the Northern Hemisphere.

Bridge Deck: VIP Suites

On the Bridge Deck are two VIP staterooms themed around the concept of the North and South Poles, and include balconies that connect to the sky lounge balcony.

Lower Deck - Guest Suites

Four guest suites are located on the Lower Deck. Each one has been enriched with a natural theme — earth, air, water, fire. These elements are reflected through fully custom fixtures and fittings.

Tenders

Close to amidships is where the water toys are housed and Aurora Borealis is anything but short of things to do. The yacht is supplied with two Jetskis, an award-winning 8.1-metre Landau Pascoe tender and a 7.6-metre Landau Pascoe shuttle sport RIB.
