The Emory Child & Adolescent Mood Program (CAMP) is offering a summer DBT-based skills bootcamp for high-schoolers (14-18 years). This accelerated program covers each module over the course of 5 days. You can select individual modules to attend or complete them all. Mindfulness skills will be covered the first day of each module.
Who should join? Teens who have difficulty: 1.) managing intense emotions, 2.) acting impulsively on emotions, 3.) communicating effectively, and 4.) responding adaptively to stress & disappointment.
Emotion Regulation: July 8-12, 9:30-12pm
Distress Tolerance: July 15-19, 9:30-12pm
Interpersonal Effectiveness: July 22-26, 9:30-12pm
Cost. This program is covered by most insurances currently accepted by Emory Psychiatry. Given the variability in plans and mental health coverage, please check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage and co-pay. A flat fee self-pay option is also available ($250 per module).
Registration. Registration will open online April 1. Please click on the "Register Here" button below to complete an online form to reserve a space. A staff member will contact you to gather additional information and answer any questions you many have. Final acceptance is contingent on a pre-group screening to ensure appropriate fit.
