Throughout my FMPi am going to post outcomes on my shoe wear brands instagram account. This account will also give be a place to post my final outcomes. I have decided to create an instagram account for the brand as my target audience is 16-25, so the best way in which I can reach them is through social media. Posting on instagram is also sustainable as it does not involve using print media.
For the first post I wanted to give a brief piece of information about the brand e.g. the ethos. I decided to use this urban wall imageI took as a backdrop as it isn't overwhelming but sets the tone of a street aesthetic for the shoe wear brand.
I want to document the process of creating the shoe wear brand/designing the shoes. This post shows my initial drawings.
For the third post I have shown more refined designs e.g. digital designs. I have put a train station stair case in the background to show the brand is 'moving up/developing.
For the fourth post I have show the selected shoe design I am going to move forward with. I didn't but an image as a background as I want the image to stand out on its own e.g. nothing taken away from it.
After showing the selected design, I have now posted the other sides/views to the design.
This post is posted with the 5th post to show the drawings/experimentation to go along with the previous digital sketch.
For this post I have shown the customizable elements that are going to be apart of the shoes.
This post is all about the material maps I have done, as I have alreadyshown the custom elements and need to show the other part of the DISTINCT ethos- sustainability.
This post shows the development in the design from adding the material textures.
This is one of my favourite posts due to many factors, such as the perfect contrast balance and the clear/boldness of the image. For this post I wanted to show both the black and white model, I took inspiration from a Notwoways post and created this.
After showing the black/white model in the previous post, I wanted to now show all the possible variants through the custom elements.
This is one of my final outcomes- this image incorporates both the black & white shoe with all the possible variants as well. This post is very successful due it the fact it has incorporated all the possible variants and the image isn't overpowering. The type is well balanced, I didn't want to overload the image with type as the shoe already has quite a lot happening.
I have also posted the final trailer, along with a couple segments of it
