Nosh Rochester's newest dining gem

Tonight Amanda and I decided to try Rochester's newest restaurant, Nosh. Located in the Neighborhood of the Arts, my girlfriend thought it would be a great place to try out for date night. We were completely unprepared for the experience we had.

Like so many of the wonderful "new" restaurants in Rochester, the interior has a luxurious yet approachable industrial soul, keeping with the look and feel of the repurposed building it now inhabits.

The drinks were absolutely amazing.

Then there was the food. Amanda had the Yardbird, easily enough food for two people. The most tender chicken we've ever had.

I had the Conquistador wood fired pizza... The best wood fired pizza I'd ever had, hands down.

Dessert was just ridiculous. Chocolate cake that was not only phenomenal, it could have fed a small country.

Then there was the service. Our waiter was perfect. The mixologist Randy came over and asked me a couple of questions about my drink preferences, then brought me over an electric glass of bourbon! Later on, I talked with him (right) and owners John Nacca (left) and Peter Lezeska (middle).

If that wasn't enough, the head chef Joe came out and spoke with us for a solid 5 minutes. Great and insanely talented guy.

In closing, we were completely unprepared for the amazing food and the highest level of service we received at Nosh. Make a reservation at Rochester's newest fine dining destination and I promise you, you're gonna love it.
