AFC Mansfield had to settle for a point when a Bradley Wilson own goal on 76 minutes cancelled out a strike from Danny Williams 10 minutes earlier.
The Bulls deserved more from a game they dominated for long periods but the lack of a cutting edge up front saw them drop points once more.
The 1st chance on goal came after 11 minutes, Matty Plummer’s backward header going inches wide of the far-left hand post.
A 30-yard effort 3 minutes later from Phil Buxton was always going wide.
Hemsworth’s first effort came after 25 minutes when David Briggs hit a speculative effort from outside the box, another shot that was way off target.
Both teams then suffered early substitutions. Tiani Brice was replaced by Nick Guest and then a minute later Jon D’Laryea limped off and Lynton Karkach came on.
Bill Law put his header over the bar on 38 minutes from a rare Hemsworth corner.
Karkach, who had been on the field just 12 minutes limped off and Danny Williams came on making his 1st appearance since returning to the club.
Just before the break Danny Naylor found Plummer with a superb floated free kick, Plummer’s touch deserted him in the box and the ball bobbled out for a goal kick.
Early pressure from AFC with Williams missing a superb cross from Jordan Annable and Plummer heading wide from a corner.
Williams lifted his effort over the bar on 63 minutes as the pressure mounted on the Hemsworth goal. 2 minutes later and The Bulls were in front. An Ellis Wall cross found Williams in the box and after holding off 2 defenders fired past Sam Leigh to open the scoring.
Williams could have had a 2nd minutes later when he met Jimmy Ghaichem’s cross only to be denied by Leigh, his follow up effort was turned around the post by a defender.
This sparked Hemsworth into life and they enjoyed their best period of the game. Nick Guest races clear but good work from Dale Sheppard sees the striker rush his effort and lift the ball over the bar.
The equaliser duly came on 76 minutes, good work down the left flank from Gust and when the low cross came in Brad Wilson turned it into his own net.
Buxton fired over the bar on 82 minutes from distance and with that the game ended all square.
AFC Mansfield move on to the eagerly awaited local derby with Clipstone FC next Saturday.
