Boys basketball varsity coach Calvin Wong has been living in the shadow of the Matadors rivalry with Lynbrook HS ever since he was a kid. In fact last year, he was hired as LHS’ assistant frosh/soph basketball coach. He had originally learned of the rivalry at Miller MS, then he experienced it as an MVHS Matador. Now though, he’s back as a coach for his alma mater. He’s watched the boys basketball program go through major changes in the past few years, and now it’s his turn to take control of this team’s future.
