Transferring from Bergen Catholic
“I didn't like the culture there when I was at Bergen [Catholic] on the lacrosse team," Lewis said. "[The difference between Bergen Catholic and PV] is like night and day. So that was a big thing for me.”
Pascack Valley felt like home from the start for Lewis, as he grew up with all of his friends that go to PV. Lewis also didn't find Bergen Catholic worth the money as he wasn't even getting a full in-person experience.
Coach's Comment
In addition to all Lewis' support from his teammates, head coach Matthew Will has praise for Lewis as well.
"Nate has been a tremendous addition to the team," Will said. "He's obviously very talented, but what I've been most impressed with is how quickly and easily he gelled with the rest of the guys. It's not easy jumping into practice three weeks after everyone else, but he's made it look that way."
Relationships with teammates are important in any sport, and Lewis wasted no time developing several relationships of his own on the lacrosse team at Valley.
"He has already developed good chemistry with our other offensive players, and constantly looks to create scoring opportunities for his teammates as well as for himself," Will said. "I can't wait to see how his game continues to improve and evolve as the season goes on."
What Lewis Does In His Free Time:
Lewis loves to workout as well as play video games during his spare team, which does not come often being that he is on a club lacrosse team, the team at Pascack Valley, and has school work to balance.
Which sport would you consider your favorite?
Being a part of the wrestling team at Pascack Valley in addition to playing lacrosse, Lewis finds different ways to enjoy each sport.
“I like them both in different ways," Lewis said. "Wrestling is a huge mental toughness type sport, along with physical toughness but lacrosse has been fun for me and that's the biggest thing. I've always enjoyed playing it.”
Best Thing About PV:
“My favorite part [about Pascack Valley] is the fact that the people I'm friends with, are the people I grew up with," Lewis said. "I grew up with a lot of people that I'm friends with now, but also I've met new people, like some of the seniors I'm pretty close with now. It's overall just a good experience.”
