Daily COVID-19 Health Screening

Report Cards:
- First Marking Period Ends on Monday November 8th, 2021.
- Report Cards will be distributed on November 16, 2021.
Grading Day and Parent-Teacher Conference:
- Save the Date: Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for November 22nd and 23rd.
- Our Virtual School Choice Night is scheduled for December 1, 2021. More information forthcoming.

- Current 8th Grade Students please read the attached Choice Admission Process to Cab Calloway School of the Arts for High School.

Excellence of Teaching Award
- Franklin Mint is looking to honor 20 Outstanding Educators in the state of Delaware.
- Recipient receives $1000 dollars for school related programs and resources.

MLK-Voice 4 Youth
- Guided by Dr. King’s legacy, MLK VOICE 4 YOUTH provides high school students a platform to creatively share their views on issues important to them.

Friendly Student and Community Reminders:
- Students must have a pass from teachers when going to an assigned area in the building.
- Vending Machines are available in the morning, during lunch, or after school. Not during class or activities.
- Bus Riding is a privilege. Vandalism is a violation of the Code of Conduct. Be Responsible.
- Upon arrival, students are still required to report to the cafeteria if they are in Middle School, the gym if they are a Freshmen or Sophomore, and the auditorium if they are Juniors or Seniors.
- Senior Privilege: Seniors are still required to sign out in the front office.
- We are encouraging students to arrive on time to class.
- Safety First: We are reinforcing and encouraging drivers to discontinue making U- Turns in the middle of two way traffic. Thank you all for your cooperation.
- We are excited to announce that our very own Cab Marching Band received first place honors at the Tournament of Bands Atlantic Coast Championships.
- We congratulate our students, Mr. Tharp, leaders, and parents/booster club for all of the hours of dedicated time to making Cab band the best in the Region.
High School and Middle School Strings Concert
- We celebrate Bonnie Ayer’s and our String Majors for an amazing Winter Concert. The orchestra played many of Ms. Ayer’s favorite songs to commemorate her final year here at Cab.
District Leadership Summit:
- We hosted our first Red Clay Consolidated School District Leadership Summit.
- We had over 300 students from schools in the district who participated in workshops and activities facilitated by the University of Delaware and guest speakers.
- We had Hamilton’s very own Bryan Terrell Clarke as a guest speaker, along with many other talented leaders from various industries.
- We are only one week away from Showtstoppers and we want to ensure all of our community members are informed.
