GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Students can still pre-order a yearbook for $45.00 until May 10th. Students with pre-orders will receive their yearbooks on June 5th, after which, all remaining yearbooks will be sold for $50.00 CASH ONLY at the account tech window during lunch or after school. Additionally, there are only FOUR spaces left for an 8th grade student to add their baby photo to the yearbook, so don't delay! First come, first served. See the Account Tech for further information during lunch or after school.
ATTENTION all girls!! Staying after school APRIL 6th from 3:15 pm to 4:45 pm is an exciting chance to DREAM BIG! Come watch "The Empowerment Project" film about the incredible journey of five young women filmmakers who drive more than 7,000 miles across American, interviewing positive and powerful women role models. You will also have the opportunity to meet and talk with amazing Chico State University students and women in exciting careers such as Veterinarian, Criminalist, Airline Pilot, Park Ranger who will be there to share their stories and inspire you to chase your dreams. Space is limited so sign up by March 31st in the school main office.
April 3rd is Parent Night for incoming 6th Grade parents. Meet in the gym at 6:30 pm. Promises to be an exciting and information filled evening! Teachers and staff will be there to answer questions. If you have an incoming 6th grader, don't miss this opportunity to speak with 6th grade teachers. Also, always a favorite, the Concert Band will be performing.
MARS ROVER PROJECTS
Working in groups, students learned about the Mars Rover Program, including its history, purpose and tools essential for studying the Mars environment. All their information was compiled into a Power Point report. In the Durst Theatre, the student groups then presented their information to students from their class and others who came to learn about the Mars Rover.
PROMOTIONAL INFORMATION
