National Youth Day 2018 Partner Toolkit

Generation No Kid Hungry and Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation are planting the flag on Wednesday, February 21st, as #NationalYouthDay, a day to celebrate young people and their contributions to the critical problems our country faces. This year will focus on youth who are addressing the critical issue of hunger here in America and celebrate their impact. Our hope for future years is to continue to build this day pulling in new leaders, new partners and industries to celebrate young people, doing real things to solve the problems our country faces.

This day is a day to celebrate the extraordinary work of our youth advocates.

As an organization that passionately works with young people throughout the year through campaigns and days-of service, we wanted to provide you with resources to get involved. National Youth Day is a compliment to these days of service and a platform to celebrate the youth in our collective reach. It is an opportunity for us to encourage the young leaders to highlight their projects as a part of National Youth Day and our opportunity as the organizations that support these young leaders to amplify and celebrate their contributions.

Here are few ways to get involved:

Before National Youth Day:

Reach out to the youth in your community that are passionate about ending child hunger and encourage them to commit to activating on #NationalYouthDay by sharing their own #NationalYouthDay photo, video, or Facebook live. Make sure to tag @GenerationNKH and #NationalYouthDay so we can amplify their message and show how they have been involved in ending child hunger on social media.
