Elvis Presley (1935 – 1977) was an American singer and actor. His is often referred to as the King of Rock and Roll or simply The King. Presley is the best-selling singer in the history of recorded music. He was successful in many genres: pop, country, blues (based on African musical tradition) and gospel (Christian music).
