Principal's Report
Dear Students, Parents and Carers,
HARMONY DAY
Just a reminder that we will be celebrating Harmony Day this Wednesday, March 24. Harmony Day is a time for all of us to share our mutual respect for our cultural diversity and happiness. This year’s theme is “EVERYONE BELONGS”.
We are celebrating harmony by inviting everyone to wear orange clothing, with a gold coin donation which will be given to the Children’s Ward of Liverpool Hospital, and children making bunting or flags which will be hung around the school to express how they feel about our happy community and country.
EASTER HAT PARADE
We will be holding our Easter Hat Parade on the last day of this term, Thursday April 1. Easter is a tradition of the Christian faith which signifies new beginnings. All students are invited to make and decorate a hat to share with the rest of the school.
Due to COVID restrictions, we will hold 3 parades under the Primary COLA to which parents and carers are invited. Parents and Carers will need to scan the Service NSW QR code.
K - 2 – 9.15 a.m.
3 - 4 – 11.30 a.m.
Stage 3 – 2.10 p.m.
The P and C are holding a raffle to raise money for the school. Tickets are 50 cents each or 3 for $1. The P and C requests donations of chocolates to make up the raffle prizes. If you can donate some chocolates, please drop them into the office.
Raffle tickets will be sold every afternoon this week near the yellow umbrellas.
P and C MEETING AND EXECUTIVE
A few weeks ago, the P and C held its first meeting for over a year. It was great to see familiar and new faces. The school plan was presented for discussion and office bearers were elected. The new committee is:
President – Duangmala
Secretary – Sharon
Treasurer – Iaeli
Vice Presidents – Leanne and Rita
I congratulate our new committee and look forward to working together to support our students.
The next P and C meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 4.
POPPITS
You will be aware of the latest toy craze for children. It is a rubber Poppit where children push or pop rubber buttons. While it is great that children enjoy these toys, we have had a couple of instances where Poppits have been lost. For your information, children are responsible for any personal item that they bring to school. Would you mind having a chat with your children about this issue to avoid any disappointment.
END OF TERM
The last day of Term 1 will be Thursday, April 1 (Easter Hat Parade Day). For students, Term 2 resumes on TUESDAY, APRIL 20.
Best wishes,
Glen Stelzer.

SRC Induction 2021
On Tuesday, 17th March, Cabramatta Public School welcomed it’s SRC representatives for 2021. A big congratulations to the following students for their nomination by peers and teachers:
3N and some 3S students visited Camden Park Environmental Education Centre yesterday. It was a perfect day and the students learnt about the important role that farms play in providing food and fibre products and raw materials, and how these materials can be processed and turned into products for our own use.
Year 3 Paper Plane Designs
Year 3 tested their paper plane designs today. The challenge was to design a plane that would fly at least 10m. Success for Christina 3S and He Na 3D. Their planes flew beautifully!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
