Polly Ryon Middle School Library So much more than books

The mission of the Ryon Middle School library is to present a dynamic library program that encourages students and teachers to recognize the library as a source of both information and recreation in order to create learners who will develop into active citizens in an information rich society.
Always lots to do!

Our library opens daily at 7:30. Students are welcome to come in to read, study, use computers, and check out books. Students may check out two books at a time for a period of two weeks. Every student has a designated library day, usually twice a month, through their reading classes.

Tutorials for all subjects are held in the library Monday - Friday each morning as well, beginning at 7:30.

The library does not charge fines for overdue books, however students are expected to pay the replacement cost of any lost or damaged books.

The RMS Library is home to the campus Makerspace program. Students have the opportunity to participate in Makerspace through their Exploratory classes held three times per week, and approximately 100 students per year complete the program. Makerspace puts a focus on STEAM skills in a collaborative and student led setting. Activities include learing to write computer code, using CAD programs to design and print in 3D, learing to pilot a drone, as well as various opportunities to learn about engineering and, of course, arts and crafts.
