WE'RE BACK!

The 2018 Notre Dame men's lacrosse season officially got underway, as the team reported back to campus on Friday, Jan. 12 to move back in and get ready for the spring semester.

FIRST PRACTICE

The Irish took the field inside the Loftus Sports Center at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13 and practiced for over two hours.

Following the first practice the team got a quick bite to eat and headed to the Joyce Center to watch Notre Dame take on North Carolina in a sold-out, prime time game.

TWO-A-DAY

Notre Dame got after it on Sunday, holding two practices from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Loftus. The Irish had special guests for the second practice session of the day, as the Northern Indiana Youth Lacrosse Association attended.

SPECIAL VISITORS ON MLK DAY

Notre Dame continued its long-time relationship with OWLS (Outreach With Lacrosse & Schools) Lacrosse, an organization that creates opportunity for Chicago's at-risk youth through scholarship, service, and the sport of lacrosse. Members of OWLS Lacrosse traveled to Notre Dame's campus to hang out with the team for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

OWLS Lacrosse took a tour of campus, watched a men's lacrosse and men's basketball practice and hung out with members of the men's lacrosse team on Monday.

LOOK GOOD, PLAY GOOD

The guys capped off the first weekend of the season with a photoshoot for the upcoming season.

The 2018 season is less than a month away. The Irish enter the season ranked No. 6 in the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook preseason poll. Notre Dame's schedule is set to be one of, if not the, toughest in the country this season. Ten of Notre Dame’s 12 regular season opponents are ranked in the preseason top 20 teams.
