Let’s face it no matter the decision for how school will look like for the 2020-2021 school year (which will hopefully be announced around August 1st) digital teaching tools and distance learning will be part of your teaching career in some capacity. Distance learning pretty much got thrown at you in the middle of March with very little opportunity for preparation. Attend this one time session to learn the basics of the Google Suite to implementing wonderful Google Add Ons. In addition, I will introduce various free Web based applications that will make distance learning for next year a little less stressful and more successful. Also, connect with other teachers outside your district to create another community to reach out to during the 2020 - 2021 school year. My goal is to keep the workshop low key and not to add anything else onto your plate. Hopefully, just to add a little sigh of relief.
I am sure once an official announcement is made on how school will look in 2020 - 2021 your school will offer professional development trainings specific to your district but hopefully this session will help you ease into those "required" trainings.

AGENDA
About Me
I (she / her / hers) graduated from Cambridge College with a Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology. I graduated from Bridgewater State College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Movement Arts. I just completed my 11th year of teaching at Natick High School where I started the Web Design program and have taught various Creative Technology courses over the years. Having worked in several public and private school settings and adult education I have found a strong love and enjoyment for teaching in a wide range audience. In addition, I am a mother of three amazing and energetic children. Having children with complex medical backgrounds I have personal experience of dealing with 504 and IEP plans in addition to Early Intervention and Mental Health services. My challenging and competitive work experiences have included a strong foundation in leadership, organizational skills, time management and computer skills. In addition, running in several marathons and volunteering in various charity events has given me the ability to display my dedication to causes beyond myself.
