We create intentional intersections for the University’s diverse student population as a way to foster understanding, collaboration, community, personal growth and a sense of belonging.
Leadership comes out of the classroom and into the real world with the University’s 1,595 student organizations. We serve as the conduit for leadership training and development within these organizations.
Thousands of students were introduced to 1,104 student organizations at Festifall, Northfest, Winterfest and Escapade.
90% of participants in the Student Organization Basics program said they learned something new; 85% said they were positively impacted.
MLEAD: This program is all about leadership education for students and student organizations. Core competencies include communication, organizational change, reflection, and emotional intelligence.
B1G Involvement: UU’s participation in the Big Ten’s first-ever Multi-Institutional Study of Leadership explores the competencies gained by students in their leadership experiences and provides insight for further student development programs and services.
LeaderShape® Institute: 47 student organization leaders attended LeaderShape®, an annual six-day interactive experience in student leadership development, presented by CCI.
We believe that achieving excellence in service to our students can best be achieved by working together with and learning from other centers of excellence across the University.
