Continuing our regular Biodiversity Buzz posts in partnership with the RSPB here are some of the things to look for when you’re out in your local park or green space this month.
Bullfinch
Birds, like this Bullfinch, are easier to spot at this time of year as the trees are bare. As food is scarce they are more likely to be seen in the open and on bird feeders.
You may also see Long-tailed, Blue and Great Tits
Animal tracks
Snow and ice can provide a good opportunity to observe animal tracks
Have you seen any of these?

Snowdrops
Usually the first flower to appear in woodlands, snowdrops have specially hardened tips to push through snow and hard winter soils.
