A beautiful celebration of diversity and solidarity
What a beautiful celebration of cultural diversity, solidarity and public/private partnerships we had on Saturday, on June 26th , in the beautiful setting of Soccer Roof in Brooklyn. Lady Liberty was watching while UN employees, diplomats, supporters and friends from all over the world gathered to play soccer in support of the French Heritage Language Program.
The tournament was officially launched by his Excellency Mr Ibrahim Touré, Deputy Ambassador of Ivory Coast to the United Nations, Patricia Herdt, Deputy Ambassador of the OIF to the United Nations, Gaëtan Bruel, Cultural Counselor at the French Embassy, Marc André Poirier, CEO of the Credit Agricole -CIB, Zohair Ghenania, Director of FFF Academy New York and Samuela, a FHLP student from Bronx International High School.
We also had a very special supporter and guest Samuel Eto'o , international soccer player.

A huge thank you from the New York FHLP students represented here by Samuela (Bronx International High School) and Audrey (Manhattan International High School) from Cameroon, Jean Chrétien (Prospect Heights International High School) from Togo, Kabinet (Manhattan International High School) from Guinea and El Hadj (Prospect Heights International High School) from Sénégal .
Audrey, one the female player on the FHLP team from Cameroon proudly displayed her country's colors.
