Iambic.press - our online literary magazine that allows young women and people of color to publish their work professionally and for free - seeks to innovate the way stories are told and how information is disseminated.

We seek to give a voice to the voiceless and let that voice be unfiltered, accessible, and creative.

In order to continue our mission, keep our site ad free, and update the platform we will be hosting a fundraiser so that we can serve our community of writers better.

On the tentative date of June 8th, Iambic will be hosting an open mic fundraiser in Brooklyn with details below:

General Admission: $10 entry to our open mic

Puck Level: $15 - to perform at our open mic

Romeo Level: $20 - Open Mic Slot (Optional) and free Iambic tee shirt

Donor Tickets: $25+ - Open Mic Slot (Optional), Iambic Tee AND other gifts, and a shout out on our website.

(Exact venue and time to be announced.) We can not announce until tickets are bought.

A cash prize will be given to the best open mic performance.

A cash prize will be given to the person who brings the most paying guests.

All proceeds for this fundraiser will go towards writing contests for unpublished authors, copyright protection, and beautiful content for the site.

Donations without attending the June event are welcome! All donations or ticket purchase will receive a shoutout on our site. All donations above 20 will receive an Iambic tee shirt.
