The 2021 Thanksgiving Meal Kit Drive 400 meals for families in need

On November 23, 2021, the annual Thanksgiving food drive was underway. Delaware City Schools, DACC and the Delaware County Juvenile Court all came together to collect food for the occasion. Some people from the community also donated money for turkeys. The goal for this year was to have 400 meals ready to be handed out to anyone who might need one. With the combined effort of the community, schools, and the juvenile court they easily met and even exceeded this goal in some areas.

Karen Watkins, the main organizer of the food drive this year, oversees and helps to load cars with their meals.
