Have you gone to class and suddenly remembered that you have work due but you forgot to do it? Not because you are lazy it’s just because you forgot that it is assigned. Yet, in the other case, it could be that you are lazy and just can’t concentrate while doing homework. You keep getting off task by checking your phone, going on social media, Netflix, and playing with your pet. I understand that those cases often happen to us as students, especially during virtual school. Assignments and homework are very important for our learning. Missing them would cause our learning equality to decrease as well as our grades. So how can we fix this issue? I found these top 3 apps that would fix your issue and help you become a responsible student. I will divide the apps into two different areas: focus, efficiency apps, and memory apps.
Most of us properly fit in the first section: concentration and efficiency. Those are the main factors that cause you to turn in your assignments late or do not do your assignments. Here are five apps that are suggested to help you. Read carefully and choose that app that best suits you.
1. Forest: extension on google chrome or an app.
“Forest” is an app that will help you to concentrate while learning and bring up your efficiency of study or work. This app is also really interesting and could help with the environment as well. In the app or extension of “Forest” every time you wanted to start learning you could set up time and website or apps, you wanted to block. The website or apps being blocked could not be accessed for the time you set up. Depending on the length of the time there are also different plants you could plant, the more time you set the bigger the plants are. There are grass, flowers, trees, and others for you to plant. If you quit before the time you set up the plant will die. During the time being set up for learning, the plant will slowly grow. If you finish the time you set up the plant will actually grow in reality. By knowing that if you stop early the plant will die and can’t grow, why won’t just continue? The more you use this app the more time you spend the more plants you grow. It could help you learn and help the environment at the same time. So why not use it?

2. Focus to do: Pomodoro Timer: extension on google chrome
“Focus to do” is an app that has task management and time management. It is a science-based app that would help you to focus and learn in the best way. It brings your to-do list together in one place and it would remind you to do your tasks. You can capture and organize tasks into your to-do lists, start a focus timer and focus on work/study, set reminders for important tasks and errands, check the time spent at work. This is an app that can manage time, manage tasks, reminders, and checklist all in one. Help you to focus on learning and track your working hours. Focus To-Do syncs between your phone and computer, so you can access your lists from anywhere.

3. Block site: extension on google chrome
This is a straightforward and useful app. If you felt like the two apps before aren’t “strict” enough for you this one must be one. What this app does is that it blocks websites that would disturb you, and the website that is being blocked can not be accessed until the timer ends. Some suggested websites to block are game websites, social media, Netflix, and others. It works fast and is easy to use. You could block the website simply by just pasting the URL in. There are also different modes in this extension.
