2019 Coker College women's GOLF Season Preview

The Coker College women's golf team performed strongly last season, capturing the title at the Converse College Fall Invite to open the season and repeating as champions this year. Last season the Cobras recorded five top-eight finishes in the nine tournaments they competed in.

Angela Luna finished tied for second and tied for fourth place at the Converse College Fall Invitational. Luna also put up solid numbers for the Navy and Gold in her senior season placing with three top-10 individual finishes on the season.

The Cobras also had five top-eight finishes in their nine tournaments played for the 2017-2018 season

The Cobras enter the 2018-19 season with an experienced core of players, including six returners, two freshman, and one transfer.

The Coker College women's golf team started the fall season with the right foot as they ran away with the title on the final day of the Converse Fall Invite, carding a final round score of 321.

Bella Harris returns to the cobras as a senior and posted amazing marks during her sophomore year. She finished the season with an 80.2 season scoring average, competing in all 19 rounds the cobras played before missing last year due to injury.

Fajardo is one of the newest additions for the Cobras. She is a junior transfer from the University of West Alabama, where she played golf and accomplished many honors. Fajardo earned the 2017 GSC Freshman of the Year award, and was honored as a 2018 WGCA All-American Scholar. Additionally, she was the JSU Tiger Classic Invitational runner-up with scores of 77 and 72 in 2017, and finished runner-up in the Winona State University Invitational with scores of 74 and 78 in 2018.

Bella Harris returns for her final season as a Cobra. She has been a valuable asset on the course for the Navy and Gold, finishing her sophomore season with a 80.2 season scoring average and competing in all 19 round the Cobras played. She also shot the low round of the season for the cobras, firing a final round of 73 at the South Atlantic Conference Golf Championship, marking the second-lowest round in Coker women's golf history.
