The goals of the Culinary Arts program are – • Provide fundamental academic knowledge in food preparation terms, concepts, and methods • Provide hands-on experience in real work environments • Provide knowledge of the professionalism in the culinary industry • Provide knowledge of career opportunities in the culinary industry • Provide a foundation and understanding leading to post-secondary education or a foodservice career • Provide opportunities for students to display their knowledge through competition
