Melissa Knight, M.Ed. 

Melissa Knight is the Associate Director of Experiential Learning Programs in the Center for Career and Professional Success at Howard University. Melissa currently oversees the Federal Work-Study program and provides experiential learning opportunities to students. Previously, Knight was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Career and Professional Development Center at Texas Southern University, the 2nd largest HBCU in the nation.

Knight promotes career center programs to employers, develops job and work based learning opportunities and ensures that students are always aware of and have access to career and professional development resources. She is currently enrolled in the Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies (HELPS) Ph.D. program at Howard University, where her research interest lies in career readiness for African-American students in STEM fields.

In addition to her higher education career, Knight is the author of the devotional book Ratchet Revelations: An Inspirational Devotional for Millennials. Ratchet Revelations was designed to create an innovative and modern way for millennials to relate to the word of God.
