“Located in downtown St Louis, the access for the West End Apartments mixed use development was a challenge from the beginning. Through the close coordination efforts with the precast producer, the installation of the precast columns, beams and hollowcore went rapidly and seamlessly.

The podium level had additional load requirements for the load bearing walls that would need to be supported by the hollowcore planks. The prestressed 12” heavy hollowcore product solved this problem. This single product not only allowed the hollowcore to carry the podium load, it also inherently met the project’s fire rating criteria.”
