After landing at the airport in Syracuse on Friday afternoon, the Notre Dame men's lacrosse team made the short trek to the Onondaga Reservation to meet the legendary wooden lacrosse stick-maker Alf Jacques.
After a quick woodworking demonstration, Notre Dame senior John Sexton and sophomore Charlie Leonard tried their hands at the craft.
After the demonstrations, Alf took the team inside his workshop to show everyone the evolution of the lacrosse stick over the years.
Alf also went on to explain the origins of the sport of lacrosse and how it has had a number of variations.
The guys enjoyed trying out the wooden sticks and throwing the ball around.
