Waysiders,

Congratulations on finishing your first round of STAAR testing! I know this can be a stressful time for our scholars, and I appreciate your support ensuring that they were well-rested, well-fed, and ready for the big day.

While it may feel like the school year is coming to a close, we still have five busy weeks ahead. It’s important that all of our scholars are at school each day, and ready to finish the year strong. With your help, we can ensure our scholars enter 2019-20 more prepared than ever.

Together we prepare college-ready, community-engaged, global citizens.

ALL MEANS ALL WINNERS - Q3

Every quarter, an outstanding staff member from each of Wayside's schools is named our All Means All award winner. These staff members display the Wayside Way on a daily basis, and show outstanding dedication to our scholars, school and staff.

EXTRAORDINARY STORY GALA

On Friday, March 29, the Austin community rallied around our scholars at the third annual Extraordinary Story gala. The evening was filled with food, fun and impactful testimonials from our scholars. The Wayside Schools Foundation raised more than $55,000 to support scholar success.

COLLEGE ACCEPTANCES

Wayside's seniors are college-bound! Our future graduates have already been accepted to all of the universities above, and acceptances are still coming in. We can't wait to see what they achieve!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL

Already planning for the first day of school on July 31? Visit www.waysideschools.org/back-to-school for updated supply lists and other important info you'll need to know for a successful year. More information will be added as it becomes available.

INTENT TO RETURN: During the winter, you were asked to complete our Intent to Return, which lets Wayside know if you plan to return to school in July. Have your plans changed? Let us know by emailing enroll@waysideschools.org, or contacting your front office staff.

WAYSIDE: ALTAMIRA ACADEMY

Scholars and staff at Wayside: Altamira Academy held a parade to celebrate the 100th day of school.

WAYSIDE: EDEN PARK ACADEMY

To celebrate Wayside's annual Spirit Week, scholars at Wayside: Eden Park Academy dressed up as people throughout history that they admire.

WAYSIDE: REAL LEARNING ACADEMY

Wayside: REAL Learning Academy scholars dress in neon for Funwear Friday.

WAYSIDE: SCI-TECH MIDDLE SCHOOL

Scholars in Ms. Slaven-Ward's 8th Grade Design class at Wayside: Sci-Tech Middle School built mini trebuchets and competed to see who's could throw a marshmallow the farthest.

WAYSIDE: SCI-TECH HIGH SCHOOL

Wayside: Sc-Tech High School hosted its IB/DP Art Exhibition in March. Scholars showcased their art for family and friends while enjoying snacks and other refreshments.
