Season Results:
The gymnastics team wrapped up its season last week, finishing with a 2-6 record after competing in its final meet on April 14 against Ramapo.
Gymnastics is usually a fall sport, but the season was pushed back to March and April due to COVID-19.
The pandemic had its effects on the team, limiting its ability to practice. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, PVRG fought through and eventually got back into the gym.
“All of us were out of the gym because of COVID, and so we’ve all had to work really hard to get back to where we were, and then work even harder after that,” Ng said.
Gymnastics as a Team Sport
One reason Ng enjoys high school gymnastics is because it is more focused on the team, and less on the individuals themselves.
In addition, Ng appreciates seeing the results that come from working hard in practice.
“There is a solid correlation between what you get out and what you put in,” Ng said.
