Most first time visitors will be drawn to the south of the island, where most of the famous beaches and resort areas are located, in areas like Kuta, Nusa Dua and Seminyak, home to golden beaches, upscale hotels, restaurants and nightclubs. The buzzing regional capital of Denpasar is also located in the south of Bali. It is the capital city of Bali and the commercial and administrative center. Unlike other island or hinterland in Indonesia, this cosmopolitan city’s style contrasts with the calm Hindu temples, lush terrace, and beautiful beaches. Venturing further north and deeper inland will take visitors to stunning natural beauty of another kind, green, lush mountains and hilly rice terraces. The town of Ubud can be found here, the island's hub for the arts, with museums and lots of arts and craft shops. Elsewhere on the island you can find the West Bali National Park (west Bali), quiet and secluded beaches (north Bali), small coastal villages and volcanoes (east Bali) and fantastic diving spots (southeastern islands).

Upon arrival, your guide will assist with check-in and along the way, answer any questions you may have
Ubud is changing fast, and today you’re invited you to witness it at its golden hour of dawn. A favorite morning walk for locals and visitors alike, start in the early morning and stroll through the Ubud Market, village lanes, fields and forest. After witnessing sunrise, often accompanied by herons taking flight, a simple picnic is served in a farmer's hut high up in the rice fields north of Ubud where you’ll soak in the morning ambiance. Yes, many of the sights on this walk are very picturesque but be warned that there is much development ongoing throughout Ubud that cannot be avoided. Rounding off the experience, settle in for a well-earned foot massage to relax the muscles after a solid walk. Arriving into Bali from distant lands, guests often find it takes a while to adjust to the new time-zone and to overcome jet-lag. Following an overnight flight, guests are typically spry and active in the early hours of the day, but then – most commonly – are ready for bed in the afternoon. Today, set yourself up for the days to come with an afternoon at leisure. As soon as you’re able to, you’re encouraged to rest for the evening so as to prepare for the days to come, and should you find yourself with energy to spare, perhaps a few laps in the resorts on-site pool are in order.
Today’s experience begins with a visit to Tohpati, known for its Batik fabrics, with your private English-speaking guide leading the way. A chance to explore a few of the artisan markets and higher-quality boutiques in Ubud, your tour carries on to Celuk, center of exquisite silver works and later, to Mas, an outpost known for fine woodcarvings. Home to a score of local and foreign artists, Ubud art scene is always alive, and a visit to the Agung Rai Museum of Art will enliven your day. A collection of paintings by Balinese, Indonesian, and foreign artists in classic Balinese and contemporary styles are yours to discover, before visiting the Ubud Market. Here you can test your bargaining skills for as little or as long as you please. Rounding out your trip, stop at Puri Saren Agung, a temple that hosted the royal family of Ubud from the 1800's until 1917.

Famous for its holy, purifying water, you’ll have a chance to explore this sacred site before visiting the tranquil water palace of Tirtagangga, followed by a walk through Tenganan village, a traditional community of the Bali Aga – the indigenous people of Bali – who weave valuable double-ikat cloth. Pay a visit Goa Lawah temple in Klungkung, perhaps better known as ‘the Bat Cave’ as it is host to thousands of bats. With daylight fading, settle in to watch an authentic Kecak fire dance performance, and later - with an appetite to sate - the scene shifts from Uluwatu Temple to nearby Nusa Dua where you’ll enjoy a special meal before being returned to your hotel.
Situated beach-side, the Alila Seminyak is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy some time at leisure. Here, in the heart of Bali’s most prominent resort district, relax as the waves roll in.
