Recap of 2018
As is customary for this season, a time of contemplation of the past year has us excited for goal making in the future. Its been an amazing year for SOPHIE BLAKE NY, and we are so proud of you, The SB Tribe and our accomplishments. Here's a recap of 2018 and new year wishes for the continual growth of The SB Journal and so much more in 2019.
Our Accomplishments
#1 The SB Journal
A great accomplishment for the SOPHIE BLAKE NY brand has been reaching the goal of building a community of jewelry lovers and a place to share our creative inspiration. It is through this desire that The SB Journal was born with ISSUE N°1: THE SB JOURNAL LAUNCH - A TIMELESS & CONFIDENT WOMAN in April 2018. We have enjoyed sharing the pillars of the SOPHIE BLAKE NY design aesthetic and how our love for fashion, pop culture and art inspire the jewelry design process.
#2 Mayakoba Launch
Our latest jewelry collection, Mayakoba launched in May 2018. Mayakoba collection is inspired by Sophie's trip to the Mayakoba, the secluded and eco-friendly resort. The collection is a juxtaposition of organic materials with contemporary artwork, rustic traditionalism and the rich history behind jewelry making by the ancient Mayans and Mexican artisans of the time. We are so proud of the success of the Mayakoba collection that intersects the sophistication resort style with ancient culture and conscious fashion. The Mayakoba collection has furthered our goal towards sustainability by incorporating recycled brass and sterling silver and eco-friendly practices that ensure the precious metals we use support our gemstons suppliers, metalsmsiths and other artisans a circular economy as a brand that's Made in USA. , as well as companies and workers here in the U.S.
#3 SB Chats: The SB Journal series
One of the desires for the creation of The SB journal has been to create not just a place for jewelry lovers but to be a source of empowerment for women everywhere. SOPHIE BLAKE NY is so honored to be a part of a community of female creatives; of women who are not just building businesses but have a greatness of gifts and talents that others should take notice of and be inspired by. And thus, SB Chats was created to highlight female entrepreneurs that Sophie wants you to be aware of. Women everywhere are doing amazing things and we are excited to bring you more chats with female founders this year.

3) What we are looking forward - Continue collabs with fashion and beauty brands: "Nothing In Between Studio" nail salon collab in located Fairfax event stay tuned in Feb 2019.
We are so incredibly proud of several press features we've had this year; most notably our feature in the September Issue of Capital File Magazine! We are excited to continue collaborations with like-minded fashion and beauty brands. Stay tuned February 2019 for our next collaboration Nothing In Between Studio nail salon located Fairfax, VA.
Tie in meaning of 4 a this passed year culminating in a sense of completeness for th SOPHIE BLAKE brand. Mention taking time off to recharge to be inspired again for future collection design headed to LA San Diego Hawaii. (In the spirit of completeness and take time for self-care I will be taking time to travel and celebrate my five year anniversary with my husband Dan. Looked forward to year five of SOPHIE BLAKE NY and celebrating 5 years with you the loving and exciting SB Tribe!
Blog Idea: Promote a product potential sale perhaps partnering with charity to purge items from last year (idea in the spirit of new beginnings/thoughtfulness/fashion for good and the importance of sustainability in fashion a goal of the SOPHIE BALKE NY brand we want to partner with "X Charity" Home stretch that provides women and children in shelters with basic basic needs (local charity)encouraging you to bring gently used items)
