The Library iS Open
Welcome back everyone, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break with family and friends. The library is open for book check out and for class reservations. There are several spots in the library that can be reserved. I am currently trying to arrange Library orientations for all our students to familiarize them with our new spaces and to set expectations. We are very fortunate to have our new library and want our students to appreciate it and take care of it..

LIBRARY SPACES AND RESERVATIONS - Library TrAC
We will be using a new calendar and student log in web-based platform called Library Trac. Library Trac. Students must have a pass and log in when they first enter the library. This system creates a record that administration can utilize to locate students which can be especially useful during emergencies, such as unexpected fire drills, lockdowns, etc. Also, teachers and Administration will be able to reserve many library spaces and "classrooms" within the library. The spaces available for reservations include:
- Classroom #1: Located inside the library on the north side. This "classroom" has a BenQ and seating for 40 students. (Red area on map)
- Classroom #2: This "classroom" is at the main entry and currently can seat about 18 students. We will be receiving another table in the near future and will be able to seat 20-22 here. This area also has a BenQ. (Royal blue area on map)
- Flex Lab/Computer Lab: 40 computers and a BenQ. Teachers must accompany students using computers in the lab. (Green area on map)
- STEAM Lab. (Blue area on map)
- Story Time area - just a quiet space on the North side of the library for smaller classes. (Pink area on map)
- Three Collaboration areas for small group collaboration can also be reserved for your groups working on projects. Students can plug in their devices and work collaboratively on the big screens. (Lavender, Orange and Gray)
