Established in 2015 by Neil Wright and James Edwards, Omni Recycling Ltd offer a range of services including skip hire, muck-away, grab hire and aggregate supply. It is Omni Recycling’s aim to recycle as close to 100% as possible of the material they take in, minimising the use of landfill. They produce high quality topsoil and aggregates from their recycling operation, and stock a wide range of building materials and primary aggregates for delivery or collection. Omni’s site in Tunbridge Wells is highly accessible and they are servicing an increasingly wide area across Kent and the South East.
Their relationship with Matt Scott, Senior Sales Manager at Blue Southern, began before they even started processing materials, with him helping them to secure some regional growth funding. The first machines they bought were a used Powerscreen screener and crusher, which at the time suited their requirements and budget. Omni Recycling have seen continued growth ever since, with them taking on a bigger yard, which sees them recycle up to 172,000 tonnes per year. When they started up in 2015, they were running 2 lorries, fast forward to 2020 and they now run 15 lorries and show no signs of slowing.
Since originally taking on the two used machines from Blue, they have purchased a number of new units including a Powerscreen PT400 crusher, another Warrior 1400X, a Doppstadt DW2060K shredder and most recently a Fuchs MHL310F. However, for Matt Scott and Blue Machinery, it is not all about supplying customers with new machines, it’s about finding the right solution for the application. In this case Matt was able to source Omni Recycling some good used machinery, including a Doppstadt SM518K trommel and a mobile pickingstation, which was more applicable for the usage and the job that needed to be fulfilled.
Omni Recycling Director James Edwards comments "We know that when we call in Blue they will really listen to our requirements and recommend equipment based on that, rather than just trying to sell us whatever they want to shift. It is because of this customer focused approach that we have done so much business with them in a fairly short space of time".
Matt Scott, Senior Sales Manager at Blue Machinery Southern, adds his thoughts on the relationship with Omni: "What James and Neil have done with Omni in such a short a short space of time is a credit to them both and it’s been brilliant to be involved from the start. Blue are not all about just selling a new machine, we build strong and lasting partnerships whatever that involves".
